Dear Artists, Friends and Colleagues,

Artspace and the City of Elgin recently completed a survey of the space needs of local and regional artists. If you are one of the many who participated, thank you so much. Your involvement was key to our determining how feasible it would be to create an affordable artist live/work project in Elgin, as well as how large a potential project could be and what unique design elements we should incorporate so that the space will truly meet your needs.

We are certainly pleased to report that the survey results were very favorable. This has lead us to begin working with the City of Elgin on the next steps in making the project a reality. The most immediate work before us is the investigation of potential sites and developing an initial concept design. We are very excited!
